flowers in your hair

flower crown DIY

Sometimes I just need to work on something with my hands. To create something real and beautiful that I can touch and feel.

That’s why I picked up this book¬†and began a little project to make my own flower crown. I decided to document the process.

Enjoy.

For the base I connected Olive branches and Rosemary together using 20 Gauge green wire.

Be sure to use wire clippers so you don’t ruin your regular scissors.

I also put a few strands of wild grass in there but it was kind of a mess so I don’t recommend it (they looked pretty though!)

I used a smaller gauge wire to wrap Delphinium, dried Lavender, Queen Anne’s Lace + Baby’s Breath into small bundles and then wired those to the outer crown base.

Finished off with a few larger white Daisies for dimension. And that’s pretty much it. I couldn’t have done it without using the help of Studio Choo’s Flower Recipe Book. I highly recommend it!
