Chris + Kara,
I don’t think I can fully express how grateful I am that you came into my life. Your trust + encouragement of me and my art has been one of the biggest blessings of this past year for me.
Thank you for liking me as much as I like you. It means the world to me.
I am so honored that 100 Layer Cake is featuring Chris + Kara’s wedding today on their blog.
To see more photos + to find out more about the vendors that made their day as beautiful as it was see the feature here.
My dreams are made of sequins + beads + lace.

The way that Ben looked at Anna this day reminded me why I am so lucky to photograph love. It is beautiful and hopeful and good.
Truly everything about their lovely wedding last fall at the Kohl Mansion made me feel so lucky to have found myself photographing it.
They have family that makes you feel like family. They insist you try the homemade red velvet wedding cake made by the father of the groom from an heirloom Waldorf-Astoria hotel recipe. They like when you dance with them.
To be a part of a wedding like theirs, was pretty magical. And I am beyond grateful.
Ben surprised Anna with a note on their wedding day, and all it said inside was the name of a new puppy Anna had been asking for. I cried too.
