These are not my kids. But I would take them in a second.
Not because they are perfect. But because they are wonderful.
…and that is the thing about having 4 (or more) kids, that I am learning from this sweet family.
They will never be perfect, but they can be wonderful. And with 4+ of them, you can’t fake it either. There’s no stopping the meltdowns, or the madness, but you can do your best, and go with it.
As we wandered around downtown Torrance, in the heat, through scraped knees and missing bandaids and chocolate Foster’s Freeze all over everything Dave joked to Aaron and I, about what we would say later…
“Remember that day we decided NOT to have 4 kids?”
And yet every time I get into the madness of this family that I love, I think to myself…
Well, maybe.

I love these! Beautiful job! :)
I love this so much! They are wonderful, you can tell. And now this is making think of the ‘maybe’ too;) That little girl with the red jacket is making me completely melt.
these are perfect and wonderful in every way possible. :)
oh my Emily – not only do your words bless our crazy family, but these photos so perfectly captured the utter chaos that we survive each day. Thank you sweet friend, for loving our messy family and for letting us be so real with you. I love these. Amazing!!!
I think we have just seen the Christmas photos. They are so alive and so fun.
Whoa! That is sooo the Foster’s down the street from Where me and my wife live! Awesome photos!
